On May 25, 2026, the project CZ.01.01.01/04/23_040/0004758 University Technology Center for Practice (UTCP) - activity a) was launched. The project is focused on supporting the increase in the intensity of joint research, development and innovation activities between business entities (small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)) and Tomas Bata University in Zlín (TBU).

The goal of the University Technology Center for Practice (UTCP) project is the development of infrastructure for development and innovation, testing and verification of technologies in the business sector and the provision of specialized services with the aim of introducing advanced innovative solutions, especially in the field of polymer science, nanotechnology, material engineering, environmental and other advanced technology in line with current trends and practice needs.

The project follows on from CZ.01.01.01/04/23_041/0005160 University Technology Center for Practice (UTCP) - activity b), where the solution was launched in 2025. The aim of this project is to build a new open R&I infrastructure in the existing premises of the CPS and equip it with instrumentation infrastructure for the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises with innovation potential.
