General meeting of the European TwinVECTOR project

01.12.2023

On November 28, 2023, the general meeting of the European TwinVECTOR project took place at the Polymer Systems Center of TBU. The project partners discussed progress to date, plans for the future and strategies for achieving common goals. This event strengthens the involvement of all partners and highlights their joint efforts towards innovation in battery technology. Tomáš Bata University in Zlín (UTB) plays a key role in this Horizon Europe project. As coordinator of the consortium, the institution aims to push the boundaries of next-generation battery development. The project joins the forces of five partners from the Czech Republic, Germany, Finland and Austria, thereby significantly expanding the center of excellence of TUB, both technically and institutionally.

On the basis of cooperation with Bavarian Research Alliance BayFOR, Austrian Institute of Technology AIT, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology KIT and VTT Finland, we can not only make TBU visible in the European research area, but also support the EU in increasing the competitiveness of European battery technologies and achieving its goals within so-called Green Deals,   says the coordinator of the TwinVECTOR project, Dr. Viera Pechancová from Tomas Bata University. The EU is supporting this project with 1.3 million euros over three years.
