successful defense of the dissertation

On Friday, November 28, 2025, Riyadh Abdekadir Khellouf successfully defended his doctoral thesis on the topic of Biopolymer-based electrolyte for electrochemical device applications under the supervision of Prof. Vladimír Sedlařík.

Research focused on developing biopolymer-based electrolytes for electrochemical energy-storage devices. This work aims to replace conventional liquid electrolytes, which are often toxic, flammable, and environmentally harmful, with safe biodegradable, and renewable materials. By exploring the ionic transport mechanisms, structural behaviour, and electrochemical performance of these biopolymer systems, research contributes to pushing the boundaries toward greener, more sustainable energy-storage technologies.
