The Gumference took place

There were 12 lectures held. The overarching theme of the entire Gumference is "Advanced testing of soft polymer materials." Topics were presented by representatives from both academia and industry. All lectures were of excellent quality. Personally, I found the lecture from Continental on the topic of emissions resulting from tire wear in operation (Real world tire wear emission) to be particularly interesting for a wide audience, as well as the presentation from a representative of the University of Twente regarding rubber compounds used in Mars exploration (Micromorphology of filled butadiene/silicone rubber blends for Mars exploration).
