Visit of Dr. habil. Rafael Torres from the University of Padova to CPS

From 18–21 August 2026, the Centre of Polymer Systems (CPS) at Tomas Bata University in Zlín is hosting Dr. habil. Rafael Omar Torres Mendieta from the Department of Chemical Sciences, University of Padova (Italy). The visit is taking place within the framework of his Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) project, Laser-assisted sYnthesis of Magnetically mOtile plasmonic chiral Nanocatalysts (LYMON) (grant 10.3030/101151748, https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/101151748). Together with his host, Ing. Martin Cvek, Ph.D., they are working on evaluating the catalytic effects of chiral nanoparticles. The photograph captures both researchers during their joint experimental work with a photoreactor. The collaboration strengthens CPS’s international research links in the fields of nanomaterials and advanced catalysis.
